Marcia Santana Orlando

With Perseverance and Will, I've fought for my dream of one day opening a restaurant.

The youngest of 10 children, Marcia grew up in the small vibrant town of Sete Lagoas in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Watching her mother lovingly prepare traditional and varied Brazilian dishes, using the freshest of ingredients and time honored methods, lit a spark in Marcia. It awakened a passion for food. Marcia knew back then that someday she would open a restaurant where she could share with others the joy her mother had shared with her and her family in their kitchen.

Over the past 25 years in San Francisco Marcia has built two successful businesses, partnered with others to produce spectacular events and all the while nurtured her commitment to good food. As a frequent traveler to Brazil, Marcia holds a truly international sense of style and enthusiasm for entertaining.Marcia lives in San Francisco with her husband Michael.

Together they have teamed up with her sister Iza to bring the bold, rich flavors of Brazilian cuisine to San Francisco Bay Area diners in a warm, open and energized environment that is pure Brazil.Diners at Minas Brazilian Restaurant and Cachaçaria will instantly feel welcome when greeted by Marcia’s winning smile and genuine charm. Everyone is at home in her dining room.

Bem-Vindos ao Minas!
